Alan Ortega - 1964 Plymouth Fury
The 1964 Plymouth body style has always be a favorite of mine. Having had two previously one a Fury and the other an original 426 Street Wedge Sport Fury I occasionally began searching the internet to see what was out there. After about 2 years I came across this one and decided to go for it and purchased it a little over a year ago.
After a period of some time and research I was able to the best of my knowledge determine the following on my car. The car came off the line at the Lynch Road Plant on January 3rd, 1964. The car came off the line with a 265 hp 361 two barrel, Push button torque flight transmission, Turquoise vinyl 6 way power bench seat, Radio, Heater, Back up lights. The exterior was Medium Turquoise Metallic. The car was originally sold at Oakley Motors, Oakley Kansas and delivered to its proud owners on January 17, 1964; I have the original Warranty and Service Record Book as well as the Owners Manual.
As you can see the car has been repainted white but still has the original interior. The car now has a 440 with a 4779 Holly double pumper, headers with 3-inch duel exhaust and Flowmaster Mufflers, B-Cool radiator with aux.fan, 8-¾ rear end with 3.91 gears. All other features are original to the car.
