I bought this car from my son, Matthew C.deBaca, 3 years ago after he had bought his 1987 Dodge Dakota that he is currently racing. The engine is a 440 bored over .030 with a .590 lift cam, it also sports new Edelbrock aluminum heads and 1050 Holley dominator carb. with a 727 tranny and 8 3/4 rear end with Mark Williams 35 spline axles plus 488 gears. The best times that it has ran here at 5320 ft. is 11.30 but has ran 10.97 at Las Vegas during Mopars at the Strip.
First and foremost I want to thank my son and best friend Matthew who got me started racing again after so many years (last time was in 1967) and his wife Bernadette, granddaughter Montana and grandson Toby (Montana named my car Tata's Vroom Vroom). I also thank my wife Lina who encourages me to enjoy my life to the fullest and my daughter Annette who along with her husband Victor and son (my oldest grandson) Christopher are my Pit Crew.
I also want to thank my good friend Art Pacheco and the entire crew at Six Pack Performance (Art Jr., Andrew, Lorraine and Pearl) for all their help and especially to Art Sr. for his expertise in the building of the engine and all his kind words of encouragement and racing tips.
I also want to thank everyone who attends the Mopar Challenge races and this whole new family of friends that the C.deBaca's have come to know over the past three years
