1971 Challenger - Project Car

This car was originally a light gunmetal gray, 318/automatic, grocery-getter that was then transformed into a weekend racer with a built-up 383/727 combo by the previous owners.  When I bought the car a couple of years ago, the original paint was coated with a cheap quality white layer that was flaking off.  The car had hardly any rust so I decided to do a total restoration.  It has been striped to the metal and is being repainted to the original light gunmetal gray. The big-cammed 383 is being rebuilt and a A833 4-speed conversion is in progress.  The brakes/suspension/exhaust have been rebuilt and the interior will be finished in black. The car will be totally rewired and a black vinyl top will also be added.  The paint and body work should be complete by November and I hope to have it back together later in 2008.  It will be awesome when finished.  Thanks.
