The
Auge's
1989
Chrysler Maserati TC
This
coupe has been in our possession for about a year and
a half, and is a really cool car. The first ones, 89's,
were made with the 2.2 turbo, including a Mazareti head
for better performance, and this one owner car has been
very well preserved.

The
turbo still works great, even though the car has about
83,000 miles at present. We use it for numerous things,
including the local parade events when we are asked for
a convertible for such things.
The Valencia County parade found our convertible TC carrying
the mayors of Belen, Los Lunas, and Bosque Farms around...it
was fully loaded! Car features the porthole window in
the rear, like the original thunderbirds, and as many
folks know, this car was the child of Lee Iacocca, just
before the Viper project began, and right after the loan
guarantees were paid off. It was kind of a celebratory
project to show the Fords that he was still around, surviving,
and now able to make toys that would cause the rest of
the world to know that Chrysler and Lee Iacocca had not
gone to the grave as predicted.
There were very few of these coupes made over the 3 years
of production, and even fewer turbos...It is even the
original cream color, with saddle leather interior...the
featured colors of the car at introduction. We like it
alot, and will continue to use it and put in the Hub City
Mopar Fest!!!
