Wow!! What a day. I want to start out by thanking everyone who helped the day of the show, volunteering beforehand or not, many stepped up & did a great job. Thanks to my daughter Chelsea for all of her help with registering & anything else we set her to doing. Thanks also to all of the Auge family & staff, & the ABQ Model Car Club for a great Mopar model car show. Whew!!!! I also want to give another thank you Bob & Sandra Chavez from Sierra Trophies for all of the work on the t-shirts, the sponsor's trophies and for just plain being good people. And to Matt for designing the t-shirts again this year. As usual, great design man! Thanks to Perry Key (Classic Car Drawings), Paul Greenberg from Amsoil , Karen Feeney of Pin Mania , and Joe Machado from California , better known as Daytona Joe. Although the Daytona didn't make it down this year, his Imperial did & it was just plain great seeing Joe. It's a long trip for him & we very much appreciate him coming to the Mopar Fest. Thanks also to the SW Mopar Club for making the trek to the show again this year, and to the attendees from all over. And to Stan Prueitt for bringing T-Rex & Pam Gow for bringing her US Army Daytona & both T-Rex & Pam participated in the egg run. That was fun & a big crowd gatherer. We greatly appreciate everyone's time. Thankd to all the vendors & the swap meet people, & thanks to Art Pacheco of Six Pack Performance for his donations as well, Clinton at Midas on NM 528 for all of the stuff he donated & took time to acquire from his contacts.

And thanks to Cathy Nowlen for heading up the cruise south from the ABQ Pitt Stadium. Sounds like it was the biggest cruise we've had in a couple of years. And thanks Cathy for the pictures too. And thanks to Dale Erickson from Shell Rapid Lube for once again holding on to the trailer for months and selling tickets on his corner of Wyoming and Comanche. We greatly appreciate your support and your efforts towards the trailer raffle each year! And to Matt Torres for the spot at the Southwestern Musclecar Nats !

And again this year, if we gave a hard luck award for the show, we'd again have to give it to Dorothy & Sonny Schneider from El Paso . They had a flat tire on the way to the show & another on the way back. Sorry Dorothy & Sonny & we want you to know how much we appreciated you coming to the show. Your whole group is full of good people & Leona & I enjoy the Friday night gathering at the hotel which always gives us some time to catch up! Dean, it was great seeing your 63 Max Wedge & you.

There are so many people to thank & I know I'm surely going to miss someone & I apologize for that if I do. But believe me, I know who you are. It takes so much to put a show on of this size & without all of you, it just wouldn't happen. And thanks to my wife, Leona, who has been driving herself & the rest of us crazy these last several months planning & preparing for this show. Making sure each little detail is checked & double checked.

The swap meet was good & I very much thank Art Hurley for handling all of that. I hope all of swappers sold lots of stuff. We also had some great vendors who seemed pretty happy with the turnout. Thanks to Steve Lauer and Todd Swanson for handling the setup of the vendors and thanks to Rick and Courtney White for bringing down their race car and setting up a booth for the Breast Cancer Society .

And a big thank you to Cathy Nowlen for helping Leona count the votes and keeping it all straight. And Aimee and Glen ( Faded Glory ), you two are ALWAYS there and always ready to help where needed. Thank you VERY MUCH!

Again, we saw lots of cars we had not seen before which always keeps this show interesting. Several classes including the Construction and Daily Driver were huge making for some real tough competition. And lots of Vipers and Prowlers too. Awesome! There were many new cars and some we are use to seeing that were not there. I have to tell you, it was strange not seeing Donald Montoya from Vegas out in the parking lot of the hotel all night cleaning, painting and polishing his Charger!

or those of you who couldn't make it this year, we missed you and we hope to see you next year!!! If you didn't get a shirt or dash plaque, they are still on sale. Now here is a list of this year's winners.
